Receiving Promos
Joining new promo lists
The labels and PR companies using FATdrop are in charge of their own mailing lists, so we can't directly add you to any of their lists. We also cannot provide a list of labels using the service for privacy reasons.
However, what you can do is fill out your Kato taste profile which tells Kato exactly what kind of music you'd like to receive. Then, if any of our clients want to reach DJs outside of their own mailing list and the music they're sending is a match with your tastes, you'll see their promos appear in your Kato's Picks page.
Changing the email address you receive promos to
You can change the email address your promos are sent to in the profile page of your recipient dashboard. Follow the instructions to login and then click 'change email' to update your address. Once you've clicked the verification link in the email sent to the new address, your address will be updated and you can now use the new address to login to your dashboard.
Note: if the address you enter already exists in our system then the two accounts will be merged, including all subscriptions and promos you already have access to.
Merging multiple recipient accounts or email addresses
In order to transfer all of your email address subscriptions onto a single email address, you will need to first log in with one of the addresses which you no longer want to receive promos to. Just head to the profile page of your recipient dashboard and follow the instructions on screen to log in.
On this page, simply click 'change email' and enter the email address you would like your promos to come to.
Once verified, your email address will automatically update in the mailing lists of all the labels/PR companies which were using the old address. Furthermore, if anyone tries to add your old address to their list then it will automatically be updated to your new one.
Please be aware that this process is irreversible, so make sure you do it the right way round (logging in with the address you don't want to receive promos to).
You can repeat this process as many times as you want to merge any number of recipient accounts together under one email address.
